Plone System Management
A 1 day course for system adminstrators to learn how to setup, backup and install additional open source products to extend existing Plone system
Objectives
- Install and configure Plone application on Linux/Unix based servers
- Backup and Restore
- Configure port direction and virtual hosting eg. make a site installed as http://localhost:8080 be accessible as http://intranet.myorganization.com
Prerequisites
Skills
- Basic Linux CLI (permissions, cp/mv, tar)
- Basic networking knowledge such as which ports a web server listens on and tcp/ip networking
Technical
- Linux or Unix based server such as MacOSX or FreeBSD
- Clients with ssh access to server
